The NuWay Plus is an additional membership program available to our members all pre-negotiated by NuWay and designed to operate by collecting monthly contributions from our members which we pay directly to our provider. These monthly contributions are predicated upon certain age and number of family members as well as the amount of any major medical expense the member wishes to be responsible for. This program, through the NuWay provider, available nationally except Washing State, covers eligible medical expenses of that share community.

The process is typically very simple. Should a paid member in good standing be presented with a major medical expense, they submit a sharing request for determination. The request is determined based on the member guidelines and if approved by the provider, the expenses are paid using those same collected monthly contributions from the community as a whole. As previously stated, members are responsible for the Initial Self-Payment before the payment process begins – think of this as the traditional deductible, which you the member would pay.

The specifics of what is eligible for payment, along with the process for submitting and reviewing expenses, are outlined in the member guidelines. While some medical expenses may not be eligible for spayment, many members find this approach to be a cost-effective and flexible solution for managing their healthcare costs.
